Tour with lead curators J. Göbel and P. Werner of the special exhibition “FRITZ KLEE – An Unwilling Individualist?”

To mark Selb’s 600th anniversary, this special exhibition focuses on the life and work of Fritz Klee in the city. Although he arrived reluctantly from Munich in 1908—moving to what he considered a “provincial town”—the architect, graphic artist, and applied artist Fritz Klee ended up staying for 30 years as director of the newly founded Technical School for the Porcelain Industry, becoming a central figure in the city’s cultural life.
But who was the man behind the designs? During the guided tour, you will learn not only about the establishment of the technical school and his artistic designs and porcelain creations, but also about his architectural projects and the social life of Selb—which Fritz Klee also played a key role in shaping.
Price: €5.00 | Adults pay an additional €1.00 for Sunday admission.
