HIVERNALES DE LA CERAMIQUE: ceramics exhibition and sale

A major ceramics exhibition and sale

Throughout the weekend, EMA will become a meeting place dedicated to contemporary ceramic art. Around twenty exhibiting artists will present their creations and artistic worlds. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with them directly and, just a few days before Christmas, to discover original and unique pieces to give as gifts… or to treat yourself.

This year’s participating artists are: Aline Balestra, Marie Beaudry, Judith Bout-Commeau, Magali Carriere, Valerie Ceulemans, Laurence Clotman, Julie Cornette, Marta Czaja, Michel Di Nunzio, Fabienne Fauvel, Thierry Halet, Murielle Hansotte, Wied and Diederik Heyning, Cécile Lemoine, Hilde Lietaer, Christine Louviaux, Philippe Lucas, Anne Lutgen, Alain Objois, Tristan Philippe, Melina Pollez, Laurence Raffaeli and Charlotte Walry.

Exhibition and sale: Saturday 19 December, from 2 pm to 7 pm, and Sunday 20 December, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

“Les Émerveilleuses”, an exhibition by Dominique Matagne

Les Hivernales will begin on Saturday 19 December at noon with the opening of “Les Émerveilleuses”, the new exhibition dedicated to ceramicist and sculptor Dominique Matagne.

Hybrid characters, unusual animals and whimsical creatures make up the artist’s imaginary bestiary. Modelled in clay, her sculptures play with bodies, expressions and postures to create a remarkable theatre of our humanity. Behind the fantasy and humour, these strange and endearing beings also speak of our behaviours, our vulnerabilities and our contradictions, in a world that moves between poetry, caricature and tenderness.

Opening on Saturday 19 December at 12 noon.
The exhibition will then be on view at EMA from 19 December 2026 to 7 March 2027.

Young creators will be joining in too!

Children will not be left out! Creative workshops will be available for them at Le Coin des Lutins, part of the Andenne Christmas Market, located at the foot of Le Phare.

While young and old alike enjoy the atmosphere of the Christmas Market, step inside the museum: with contemporary creations and opportunities to meet ceramic artists, Les Hivernales promises a weekend dedicated to clay, creativity and celebration.
