Clay workshop and painting your own handmade ceramics

90-minute workshop of clay modeling and wheel throwing under the guidance of an experienced potter, and a 90-minute visit to the painting workshop where you will paint the ceramics you modeled during your first visit.

What’s included?

– 2 kg of quality clay for creating, from which you can make, for example: a cup, a bowl, or a bathroom set (toothbrush cup and soap dish), jewelry, ornaments, figurines, tic-tac-toe, or anything according to your own imagination.

Painting your own ceramics, 90 minutes:

After the first firing, we will prepare all your pieces for painting by applying a white base glaze.

With the help of an experienced instructor, you will paint your pieces using underglaze painting on raw glaze.

You will have all the necessary tools available.

We will fire your ceramics a second time so the colors become permanent, and you can use or gift your original creations.

Workshop time: 2 x 90 minutes.

Available dates: Clay workshop every Friday at 15.00 and ceramic painting every Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 16.00.

Reservation: Advance booking is required for the workshops.

We fire all your pieces bisque, meaning a ceramic body after the first firing. This body is very porous and has a characteristic reddish-brown color. Bisque is solid and durable, but absorbent, so vessels in this state do not hold liquids. The first firing is possible only after the piece has completely dried, which takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

After the first firing, we will contact you and you can arrange a date for the continuation workshop – painting your own ceramics. We will glaze all your pieces with a white glaze and after painting we fire them a second time. This makes them watertight, durable, and fully functional for everyday use.

This way, you can go through the entire pottery-making process and experience firsthand the unique charm of this traditional craft.
