Modra will once again come alive with ceramics. This time, the popular event The Clay Festival – Ceramic Modra will take place on 24–25 April 2026. As in previous years, the event will be held in the wider city centre – the main stage will be located at Starý trh (Old Market Square), while the ceramic market will line Moyzesova and Kukučínova Streets.
The Town of Modra and the Modra Cultural Centre, together with co-organisers Slovenská ľudová majolika, the Slovak National Museum – Ľudovít Štúr Museum, and its detached workplace, the Museum of Slovak Ceramic Sculpture, are preparing a rich two-day programme. Visitors can look forward to clay firing in an ancient kiln, numerous concerts and dance performances, a potters’ ball, theatre performances, children’s games, ceramic workshops, experiential guided tours, exhibitions, and a professional seminar.
